Vietnam Extends Visa-Free Stay to 45 Days for Citizens of 13 Countries
In a move to promote international travel, the Vietnamese Government has recently introduced Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP, a modification of Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP from March 15, 2022. This amendment focuses on enhancing the visa exemption privileges for citizens of specific nations.
Vietnam Extends Visa-Free Stay to 45 Days for Citizens of 13 Countries
Under the revised resolution, citizens hailing from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus will now be able to enjoy an extended stay of 45 days in Vietnam, a significant upgrade from the previous 15 days. This extended stay is applicable to all passport types and travel purposes, as long as the visitors meet the necessary entry requirements in accordance with Vietnamese law.
This new resolution is set to be in effect starting from August 15, providing ample time for prospective travelers to plan their trips accordingly.
In addition, the Vietnamese Government has concurrently issued Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP, focusing on the implementation of e-visas for individuals from various countries and territories. This resolution also includes a comprehensive list of international border crossings that will accept electronic visas for entry and exit.
By replacing the earlier Resolutions No. 79/NQ-CP dated May 25, 2020, and No. 60/NQ-CP dated April 27, 2022, this comprehensive resolution will officially take effect from August 15, aiming to streamline and facilitate the entry process for international travelers.
For travelers from the 13 eligible countries, these government initiatives signal a more accessible and visitor-friendly approach to experiencing the captivating beauty and culture of Vietnam.”
